Everybody's Starry Eyed

it's like you hit me with -- L I G H T N I N G --
Ellie Goulding's album LIGHTS is such a breath of fresh air. I dig her girly, coming-of-age lyrics. Makes me feel like a carefree, wandering girl again.

The wind + rain finally decided to leave us alone, & since then I've taken every opportunity to be outside: working on our new vegetable garden, grooving out on longboards at chuns with all the friends, playing with our silly puppy, laying under the trees, and playing with Hipstamatic all the while as usual. I'm so excited that Summer is creeping up on us ... and that new endeavors are on the horizon.

I am freelancing full-time again, and WOW, it feels great! I'm so excited to meet new clients + people. I finally have more time to work with my favorite company in the world, too: CRUSH SUNGLASSES. The people behind-the-scenes are some of the raddest people I've ever met, and the product speaks for itself. Can't wait to see what else God has in store for my career!

The following images are making my brain dance this week

TWENTY-FIVE + counting

MARCH 2, 2010 • 3:23 PM • ON MY TWENTY-FIFTH BIRTHDAY
it's been a mellow day; spent time reflecting + sometimes you have no one around but yourself to photograph.

Don't know where time keeps disappearing off to; never thought I'd live to see this day;
Today I'm twenty-five years old + I have so much to be endlessly grateful for. God brought me through the good and bad. I can only pray that as each year is gained, along comes wisdom, grace, patience, love for people, and maturity in the Spirit.

It's an exciting path to Heaven.

I feel so blessed to be surrounded by a gorgeous ocean, thousands of miles away from the world, with family and friends that most people are only able to dream about. I have a new breathtaking ring on my finger and a lovely man that is willing to stand by my side for as long as we live. It's surreal, really.

Ah, it's been a great twenty-five years on this cozy island thus far, many more to come!

XOXO, B
